~ARTISTIC FIELD~

My artistry is built up around both art and illustration. Favourite areas to depict is mostly towards surreal, cryptic and mystical motifs with a underlying context. Speciality is diversity in medium and to make storytelling themes outside the box.

Text, art and illustration

Text, art and illustration goes hand in hand and a bookcover, storybook, magazine or webpage may need inspiring illustrations that can invigorate the reader. With the content of an idea, I will start a project by doing careful research in order to best adapt motifs to assignment. Knowledge mixed with my mind of surreal nicknacks in the illustration, gives the reader a movement in thought to better be part of the adventure desired to be presented.

Main prio is to make original art and to provide it in various mediums, techniques and genrés. Regarding on how a motif is curated, it takes on a different meaning and my art is often thought about how it would work with environment and audience. The attraction of the beholders eye is for me a fascinating field, just how different people think of what they can see, hear and how the mind works, from the perspective of a viewer and as creator.

Word from the artist: Thoughts about art

Little do we know what catches one eye and dismisses an other. Or do we know?

Our surroundings have more impact on our inner self than most people think.

Cultural and artistic expressions are everywhere but we seldom look up and see them in our daily base trot. Art around us often have a subconscious effect or a "six sense" kind of impact on us - an impact that is important to us and should take more care of...

Vibes that comes out from installations, public art displays, architecture or book covers for example, are most of the time fluent waves of pure energy that surrounds us with motion. Sometimes art do not give us good responsiveness but in some way, they have a distinct influence. How we feel and react is up to each individual, that is what makes art interesting - different types of views.

It is up to that eye again...of the beholder.. and thank the gods we do not all think alike.
